Planned Agenda

12:00–12:15 – Arrival, Lunch, Welcome, and Project Framing Informal arrival and the start of lunch, followed by a brief welcome and STEAMCRAFT project overview by Béla Kardon and András Merza. Afterwards, Zoltán Márton will briefly summarize the project's professional arc, its main results, and the goal of the final event.

12:15–12:35 – JYU Block: Pedagogical Framework and ESD Introduction to education for sustainability, experiential pedagogy, the Minecraft environment, and pedagogical design principles.

12:35–13:00 – RCISD Block: STEAMCRAFT Minecraft Mod – Technical development, simulation logic and classroom use The technical development, operation, simulation logic, and educational applicability of the STEAMCRAFT mod.

  • Speaker: Sándor Kirchhof

13:00–13:20 – JKU Block: Lesson plan design and testing Presentation of the developed lesson plans, educational materials, classroom trials, and testing experiences.

  • Speaker: Alessandro Martinelli

13:20–13:30 – Short Project Video, Closing, and Transition to the Demo Screening of the short STEAMCRAFT video, followed by the opening of the hands-on demo.

  • Closing and Transition: Zoltán Márton, Sándor Kirchhof

13:30–19:00 – Hands-on Demo and Networking Participants can try the STEAMCRAFT mod, converse with the Hungarian, Austrian, and Finnish developers and partners, and explore the project website, lesson plans, and related professional materials.

Experience it in Practice!

During the interactive STEAMCRAFT demo, participants can try out the Minecraft mod developed within the framework of the project, which supports STEAM education, sustainability education, and the development of digital competencies. The showcase will demonstrate how Minecraft can be used to process renewable energies, environmental challenges, urban systems, and classroom situations in an engaging, experiential way.
