We’re excited to share that the STEAMCRAFT team was present at the PBE 2025 conference — the 23rd annual edition of the PBE 2025 (“Project-Based Education and Other Student-Activating Strategies and Issues in STE(A)M Education”) held on 7–8 November 2025 in Prague.
About the conference
The event, organised by the Department of Chemistry and Chemistry Education at Charles University’s Faculty of Education, focuses on the adoption of student-activated, inquiry & project-based strategies in STE(A)M contexts. This year’s venue moved to the IMPAKT building of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics in Troja, Prague.
STEAMCRAFT’s contribution
At the conference, we:
- Presented our game-based approach to sustainability education through the platform Minecraft (targeting adult learning, lifelong skills and STEAM integration)
- Highlighted how STEAMCRAFT aligns with the student-activation paradigm (project- and inquiry-based learning) emphasised by PBE 2025
- Engaged with teacher-educators, researchers and practitioners to explore how adult-learning organisations and higher-education institutions might adopt our methodology into their curricula
